Stack needs context. Doctors of Running publishes 46mm heel and 39mm forefoot for its larger reference, while HOKA says the World Athletics men's US 8.5 reference remains below the 40mm limit. Runner's World measured 44.7mm at the heel in men's US 9. Those values can coexist because shoe size and measurement convention change total height.
